Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have been married for nearly six years, and they still enjoy teasing each other on occasion.
In a newly resurfaced clip from the couple’s Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, Prince Harry and Markle discussed their first date, which took place at Soho House in London.
The viral TikTok clip picks up right after Markle explained that she traveled to England to attend Wimbledon during a filming hiatus of her legal drama, Suits. And on her way back from the tennis tournament, she met up with Prince Harry for an impromptu date night. The get-together was the start of a whirlwind romance, even though Markle showed up late (according to Prince Harry).
“She was late,” Prince Harry jokingly whispered to the camera. Surprised by his response, Markle said, “I was late?”
Of course, Prince Harry reminded his wife of her tardiness. “Yeah, remember?” he added. “You came rushing in from having a shower.”
Markle quickly clarified that she was only late by “like five minutes” because she had just returned from Wimbledon. She explained, “I hate being late.”
Prince Harry joked, “I was like, ‘You can be as late as you want, I ain’t moving.’”
