The U.K. hasn’t seen the last of Prince Harry.

Shortly after visiting his father, King Charles, at Clarence House (aka the monarch’s residence) in London following the king’s cancer diagnosis, the Duke of Sussex, 39, exclusively talked to Good Morning America. During a candid discussion at the 2025 Invictus Games training site, Harry told ABC News reporter Will Reeve that he plans on returning to the U.K. to see his dad more in the future.

“I think any illness, any sickness brings families together,” he said during the interview. “I’ve got other trips planned that would take me through the U.K. or back to the U.K., so I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can.”

Harry also discussed his reaction to his father’s health news. “I jumped on a plane and went to go see him as soon as I could,” he told Reeve. When asked how the trip to London affected him emotionally, the royal spare said, “Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that.”

Since Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, 42, relinquished their royal titles in January 2020, their relationship with the British royal fam has grown more distant.

The Duke of Sussex’s relationship with King Charles, Prince William and the rest of his family members has become particularly strained after the release of his tell-all-memoir Spare and the debut of his docuseries titled Harry & Meghan, where the royal couple detailed their love story and shared never-before-heard stories about the royal fam.

Here’s to more father-son moments between Prince Harry and King Charles in the future.
