It’s no secret that Prince Harry has become a proud member of the California community. Not only did he offer assistance to those who were affected by the Los Angeles wildfires, but he also picked up a new ocean-related hobby. Still, he has to return to the U.K. at some point…right?

Unfortunately, the Duke of Sussex, 40, recently canceled his upcoming travel plans. Prince Harry was supposed to travel to London in February 2025 to testify in person for his ongoing legal battle with News Group Newspapers (NGN). But as of this week, the company confirmed that they’ve reached a settlement and even issued a personal apology to the Duke of Sussex. Therefore, he’s no longer needed at the now-defunct trial.

Prince Harry has been pursuing a case against one of NGN’s publications, The Sun, for years. The royal previously accused the publication of using illegal tactics to dig into his personal life. Even Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, gave a special shout-out to Prince Harry on Instagram celebrating the legal win.

“It takes an enormous amount of guts to take on major media organisations like this, and incredible tenacity to win against them,” Spencer wrote. “It’s wonderful that Harry also secured an apology for his mother—she would be immensely touched by this, I’m sure, and also rightly proud. Well done indeed.”

As for future travel plans, the ball is in Prince Harry’s court.
