New ‘Harry & Meghan’ Documentary Features Never-Before-Seen Footage of Archie & Lilibet

Prince Harry’s two children—Archie and Lilibet—may live in California, but they still know all about their late grandma, Princess Diana.

Netflix has released the first three episodes of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s highly anticipated docuseries, Harry & Meghan. While the doc addresses several shocking revelations about the couple’s relationship and departure from the royal family, it also features never-before-seen footage of Archie (3) and Lilibet (1).

The cameos are scattered throughout the episodes, ranging from candid videos to rare photos of the family. In one clip, Archie is waddling down a dirt path. In another video, Prince Harry is pushing Archie on a rolling suitcase.

The first episode also confirms that Prince Harry has a portrait of Princess Diana hanging in the nursery. The video shows Markle holding Archie in front of the photo and saying, “That’s your grandma Diana.”

In Harry & Meghan, the prince explains that ever since he and Markle left London, they’ve been documenting more of their personal lives. “A friend of ours actually suggested that we document ourselves throughout this period of time,” he says. “With all the misinformation that was going on out there—especially about us and the departure—it seemed like a very sensible idea.”

Markle adds, “We’ve been really conscious of protecting our kids as best as we can and also understanding the role that they play in this very historical family.”
