Another day, another panel

Prince Harry just made a surprise appearance in Florida, and I almost missed it.

Today, the Duke of Sussex, 39, appeared on a panel, titled "Potential is Waiting," for the charity Sentebale. The event was hosted in Miami at the Zaytinya restaurant in the Ritz Carlton Hotel, and he was accompanied by fellow panelists Alix Lebec, Dr. Sophie Chandauka, Hector Mujica and Sam Bakhshandehpour.

During the panel, Prince Harry spoke about his special connection to Africa. “Africa’s in my heart, and Africa’s in my soul,” he said. “I first went there when I was 12, 13 years old, and after so many years, I wanted to give back to it because it had given me so much. The vast open space, the cultures, the community, the people, the wildlife, just the freedom was a huge piece of why I loved Africa so much.”

Prince Harry (who’s the co-founder of Sentebale) continued, “At the heart of Sentebale, what we’ve always believed, is that every single young person should have a chance at a better future.”

The surprise appearance came just one day after Prince Harry attended the BetterUp summit in San Francisco, where he appeared on another panel alongside Brené Brown, Mindy Kaling, Tracee Ellis Ross, James Clear and Adam Grant. The San Fran outing didn’t come as a huge surprise, since he’s served as the organization’s Chief Impact Officer since 2021.

Cheers to more royal appearances from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
