The first pic shows Prince Charles holding his son as a baby, and the second features Prince William all grown up as he enjoys a previous event with Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. One fan replied, "Such lovely photos!! They are a treasured family." Another chimed in, "Diana would be so proud."
Prince Charles isn't the only one who celebrated the occasion with a tribute. Queen Elizabeth also took to Twitter and wrote a birthday message, adding a collection of throwback photos that include Prince William in full military uniform. She wrote, "Wishing The Duke of Cambridge a very Happy Birthday today! #HappyBirthdayHRH," adding a fun balloon emoji.
In response to the outpouring of well wishes from family and fans, Prince William posted a photo of himself on IG and wrote, "Thank you for all the birthday wishes and kind messages."
The lucky royal is celebrating his birthday only a day after Father's Day, where the Cambridge family enjoyed a half-marathon race at Her Majesty's Sandringham Estate. Kate Middleton also honored Prince William by sharing a short clip on their IG page, which included a rare pic of the duke posing with his three children (George, 7, Charlotte, 6, and Louis, 3). The caption reads, "Wishing fathers everywhere a happy Father’s Day."
A special Father's Day celebration followed by countless birthday wishes? It looks like Prince William is certainly enjoying this (well-deserved) double celebration.
