P!nk and Daughter Willow Stun in Beautiful Live Performance of 'What About Us' at DNC

Tonight, live onstage at the Democratic National Convention and in front of a television audience of millions, singer P!nk stunned with an acoustic performance of her political protest song, "What About Us." And, she wasn't alone.

Joining her famous mother onstage was Willow Sage Hart who provided vocals as well. And to say both mother and daughter impressed, would be an understatement.

Not only was the performance beautiful and moving, but the in-person audience appeared rapt. As the New York Times noted, "The arena is bathed in pink light. The delegates here are on their feet, but this isn't really a song to dance to. Everyone is very still."

There were plenty of rumors heading into the fourth and final night of the DNC about which famous performers would appear. Music fans and pundits alike speculated that perhaps Taylor Swift or even Beyoncé would make an appearance and, hopefully, perform. P!nk was scheduled to perform and was previously announced, though the details—and the gorgeous song—certainly were a surprise.

This isn't the first time Willow has sung alongside her mother. The 13-year-old previously performed with her mom onstage at the 2023 Summer Carnival Tour in Bolton, England. In a video shared by P!nk’s husband, Carey Hart, on Instagram, the duo performed their song “Cover Me in Sunshine.” Willow completely blew the crowd away with her stellar vocals.

“So proud of Willz to get up on stage w/ mama @pink !!!!!” Hart wrote. “Must be a surreal moment for mama to have w/ her lil girl on stage [crying face emoji]. Looks like 1st show of the tour kicked ass!!!!! Can’t wait to catch up end of this month and see for myself. Summer is grind time.”

Fans of P!nk (and Willow) clearly loved the DNC performance—and I consider myself one of those fans.
