Although we thought Hannah Brown’s return and Alayah were a lot to handle at the start of Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor, his mom Barb turned out to be the real handful. And even though she publicly shaded her 28-year-old pilot son at the After the Final Rose special, Weber is still Team Barb.
As a reminder, Barb didn’t mince words when she expressed that she thought Weber was making a mistake getting back together with Madison Prewett after breaking off his engagement with Hannah Ann Sluss. In response to Weber’s decision to rekindle his romance with Prewett, Barb told Chris Harrison, “He’s going to have to fail to succeed. That’s it. Chris, all his friends, all his family, everyone that knows him knows that it’s not going to work, so we’ve been trying to help him.”
One might imagine this would cause tension between Weber and his mom, but he was quick to tell Bachelor alum Nick Viall that there’s no bad blood between them.
During a visit to Viall’s podcast, The Viall Files, Weber set the record straight: “Listen, my family in general, they’re my rock. I’ll defend them ’till the day I die. I love them more than anything. They truly just want the best for me.” Yes, he means even Barb.
