Baby rumors have been circulating for weeks, debating whether Penn Badgley and his wife, Domino Kirke, had welcomed their first child together. And now, we can confidently say the You star, 33, is officially a dad.
Earlier today, Kirke posted a mysterious photo on Instagram featuring an abstract heart painting. In the caption, the singer, 36, low-key confirmed that she secretly had the baby more than a month ago by including a postpartum countdown hashtag.
She wrote, “His heart shaped home #40dayspostpartum.”
Badgley and Kirke have been together since 2014. In February 2017, the pair tied the knot in a civil ceremony in Brooklyn surrounded by family and friends. Later that year, they celebrated with a large reception upstate where everyone from Debra Messing to Zac Posen fêted the couple.
We first learned about Kirke’s pregnancy earlier this year when the doula posted a photo of her baby bump and wrote, “On the road again. Pregnancy after loss is a whole other thing. After two miscarriages in a row, we were ready to call it. I stopped trusting my body and started to accept the fact that I was done. As a birth attendant, I’ve seen and heard it all. It takes everything I’ve got to detach lovingly from the losses I’ve been present for and be in my own experience.”
Kirke also shares a son with her ex-partner, Morgan O’Kane: Cassius Riley (12).
