Meghan Markle may have married Prince Harry, but she still finds ways to support friends from her acting days. This includes her Suits co-star Patrick J. Adams, who just shared details about the duchess’s reaction to his new podcast.

This week, Adams appeared on the Today show with his Suits co-star, Sarah Rafferty, to promote their all-new podcast, Sidebar: A Suits Watch Podcast. The 43-year-old actor revealed that they contacted the cast and crew prior to launching the pod.
“When we first decided to do the podcast, we wanted to reach out to everybody,” Adams said. “To say what our intentions were, why we were doing it, what we were not interested in doing [which was] gossiping or telling anyone else’s story.”
Of course, this list included the Duchess of Sussex, who showed support for Sidebar. Adams added, “Meghan was one of the first to respond with a lovely text message saying that she’d love to come and help in any way possible.”

Many royal aficionados have wondered if Adams will invite Markle to be a guest on the podcast, especially since he and Rafferty recently welcomed series creator Aaron Korsh on an episode. Adams revealed that they want to get comfortable with their audience before they open the pod to more cast members.
“I think the onus is on us to build a podcast that is good and successful [that] people are listening to and find our rhythm,” he said. “Then we’re gonna bring people onto it so they feel safe to tell their story.”
