Patricia Heaton (of Everybody Loves Raymond fame) has seen an acting career that's earned her multiple Emmy Awards and a star on the Walk of Fame. And the mother of four has no plans to take a break following her nine-year stint as Frankie Heck on The Middle. In fact, she's got a brand-new show kicking off this fall. We recently caught up with Heaton and she was kind enough to share a few juicy details on the upcoming series:
"I’m very excited to be back at CBS with my new show, Carol’s Second Act," Heaton told PureWow exclusively. In the show, "Carol, a recently divorced empty-nester, decides to pursue her life long dream of becoming a doctor...at the age of 50! When we meet Carol, it’s the first day of her residency and she’s the oldest resident in the group. She finds her co-workers have a lot of misconceptions about her age and ability. I know lots of folks, both men and women, will relate to Carol’s new adventure as she finds renewed purpose in the 'second act' of her life."
Fittingly, Heaton has her own personal second act in the works: After years of avidly hostessing and collecting tableware, the actress just designed a product line with Walmart, with plans for expansion this June. (Psst: It's seriously chic.)
