Party of Five is the latest ’90s show to join TV’s pageantry of reboots.
Freeform just announced that it’s developing a ten-episode revival of the popular series, which ran from 1994 to 2000 on Fox. The new version will be helmed by the original creators, Amy Lippman (Masters of Sex) and Chris Keyser (The Society), in addition to Michal Zebede (Castle).
We don’t know much about the reboot, but we do know it will offer a modern take on Party of Five, which followed a group of five siblings after their parents die in a car accident. While the youngest role is still up for grabs, Brandon Larracuente (13 Reasons Why), Emily Tosta (Mayans M.C.), Niko Guardado (The Goldbergs) and Elle Paris (Animal Kingdom) will play the four oldest Salinger children.
Party of Five originally premiered on Fox in 1994 and ran for six successful seasons. It starred Scott Wolf (Bailey), Matthew Fox (Charlie), Neve Campbell (Julia), Lacey Chabert (Claudia), Paula Devicq (Kristen) and Jennifer Love Hewitt (Sarah).
