Whether I'm devouring new episodes of Emily in Paris or planning my own trip to the City of Light, I'm a francophile through and through. And, there's a lot to love: effortless makeup and skincare, fail-proof capsule wardrobes and fashion rules that ensure they look fabulous at all times, whether they're headed to a soirée or running to the local Monoprix (that's the French version of Target). So, imagine my delight to see understated Parisian chic ruling the 76th Emmys red carpet. Below are some of my favorite looks, from contemporary suits to gowns that evoke the *iconic* days of Audrey Hepburn's collaboration with Hubert de Givenchy.

1. Sas Goldberg

The Only Murders in the Building actress arrived in a beautiful cream-colored, double-breasted suit cape blazer and dramatic lapels. I love how she takes something that might otherwise be basic and turns it on its head. The neutral tones and simple accessories are French-girl approved, and who knows? Maybe Emily Cooper should take a page. (Sylvie certainly thinks so.)

2. Keltie Knight

The Canadian television host (and multiple-Emmy winner) dazzled in a two-tiered, off-the-shoulder bubble gown that just so happens to be vintage Monique Lhuillier. *Le sigh.* Sure, the French stick to neutrals, but the Parisians are known to indulge their love of bold red. Though they usually opt for lipstick, I love the elegance of the dress.

3. Caroline Ribeiro

You can never go wrong with a classic black and white color combo. Victoria's Secret model Caroline Ribeiro's column gown features a flowing sash, which instantly brought to mind the scene in Funny Face when Audrey Hepburn walked down the steps of the Louve in front of Nike of Samothrace. I can almost hear Fred Astiare yelling, "Stop! Stop!" as he tries to capture the look with his film camera.

4. Ilona Maher

Ilona Maher may have gained internet fame as a member of the U.S. women's rugby team, but she can now add Olympian and Dancing With the Stars to her already impressive resume. I immediately swooned over her sapphire velvet peplum gown, which is totally reminiscent of Christian Dior's "New Look."

5. April Shih

Shih is a screenwriter on Fargo, Dave, You're the Worst, Mr. Sam and Undone. She arrived in a classic black-and-white column dress with an eyelet cape and—key to the Parisian elegance—a bold red lip. It feels like an inverted rendition of Carey Mulligan's Balenciaga gown from the 2024 Oscars, and I love it.

6. Melissa Peterman

I saw the bouffant and the '60s shift silhouette and immediately a Chappell Roan (who else?!) line came to mind: "She was a Playboy, Brigitte Bardot." Safe to say the Young Sheldon actress nailed it with an all-black look that any French woman would approve of.
