Guess who’s back? The iconic ‘90s boy band, *NSYNC, that’s who. The former band members reunited for the first time in a decade at the 2023 MTV VMAs. And now, the famous pop group has just unveiled a snippet of a new song.

More than 20 years after disbanding as a group, *NSYNC is debuting a new song titled “Better Place.” The song, which will be included in the soundtrack for the new animated movie Trolls Band Together, is the first single the bandmates—JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick—have released together since their fourth and final album, Celebrity, came out in 2001.

The song can be heard in the official trailer for the film, which has been shared on Universal Pictures’ official YouTube channel. According to Entertainment Tonight, the entire track will be released on Friday, September 29. And longtime fans will be able to hear the song in Trolls Band Together (which stars Timberlake as a troll named Branch) when it premieres in theaters everywhere on November 17, 2023.

During this year’s MTV VMAs, all five members of the group reunited onstage to present the award for Best Pop Video. “Hello, VMAs!” Chasez said to the crowd. “Over 20 years ago… we won Best Pop Video for ‘Bye Bye Bye.’ It was our first VMA and it meant the world to us.” Kirkpatrick chimed in and added, “That award validated our hard work.”

Taylor Swift won the category for her song “Anti-Hero,” and when she walked onstage to claim her trophy, one of the *NSYNC members gifted her with a friendship bracelet

First, the surprise reunion and now this? We can’t help but wonder if a reunion tour will be next…
