Nina Dobrev Gave Boyfriend Shaun White a Heartfelt Gift Before He Left for the 2022 Olympics

Nina Dobrev just gave her boyfriend Shaun White the sweetest gift (and we can’t help but be a little jealous).

During an interview with NBC’s Today show, the three-time Olympic gold medalist gushed over his relationship with The Vampire Diaries alum. Because she couldn’t accompany the athlete to Beijing (due to COVID safety protocols), White revealed the heartfelt gift Dobrev gave him before his trip.

“I wish she could have been here,” he said. “She was trying her hardest to sneak in somehow. But, you know, she's been so supportive and so wonderful, really just in my corner every step of the way. Hi Nina! Thank you for everything. She really has done some amazing things for me. And my sendoff to China was just so beautiful. She made this incredible video of all my friends and family. Really incredible.”

White added, “I'm missing everyone but I definitely feel their love and support from afar.”

Dobrev and White have been dating since 2019. In March 2020, they made their relationship Instagram official by posting a picture of Dobrev playfully holding a pair of scissors while the Olympian athlete looked frightened.

During the pandemic, the couple lived together for some time. Speaking with People, White revealed that Dobrev has been “so supportive” at such a tough time in the world. “Nina's just been so supportive and so amazing through this whole process for me,” he said. “Through the pandemic, she was a lifesaver — she really made that time in my life special.”

But, Nina isn’t the only one gushing over their relationship. While sitting down with E!'s Daily Pop, the Love Hard star shared that she’s “so excited” to see her boyfriend compete in this year’s Olympics.

“I am really excited for him,” she said. “Just to get into the Olympics at all is one of the hugest accomplishments, let alone to get in five times. I'm so excited. I'm so proud of him.”

Now can we get a sneak peek at that video Dobrev made?!
