We all have our own opinions when it comes to this season of The Bachelor, but no one knows the experience better than ex-bachelor himself, Nick Viall.
PureWow sat down to chat with The Bachelor Franchise star to chat about Peter Weber’s season of the reality series, as well as his new partnership with Orbit gum and their Bad Date Rebate campaign, which offers 500 people the chance to win $75 for sharing their recent bad date stories. The 39-year-old revealed his thoughts on the season’s progress so far.
“Big picture, I think it's great. It’s been very entertaining,” said Viall. “I’ve really been enjoying the fact that it hasn’t been spoiled—it's hard for me to avoid that. I’m a Peter fan, I know he's had his criticism and rightfully so. He’s deserved some criticism, but, at the same time, it’s so hard to be in his shoes. Unless you’ve done it, it’s hard to explain.”
Viall, who has appeared in four seasons of the franchise, including The Bachelor, BIP and two seasons of The Bachelorette, also opened up about his feelings on the entire process and the restrictions that come with it.
“He’s (Peter) been literally given these women to try to find a wife from, and when you look at that literally, it's fairly insane to begin with. Imagine going out on a Friday night to a bar and someone saying ‘With this group of people you have to pick your husband.’ And I'm assuming you’ve gone out to bars on a Friday night before and I’m assuming you’ve left thinking, ‘Eh, no I’m good.’ But it has been good TV—it’s been fun.”
As for his future in the franchise? The Wisconsin native shared he most likely won’t return. “I'm happy to support the franchise,” he continued. “I'm friends with them, and they’ve been always so kind to me, but in terms of looking for love on that show, I think I’m probably done. But, you never know.”
