Netflix is sharing a never-before-seen glimpse at its December 2024 streaming slate, and it’s even better than expected.

The list is full of some of the best family movies of all time, including Daddy Day Care, Project X, We're the Millers and Zero Dark Thirty. However, the real showstoppers are all the new original titles. While there are multiple debuts—like The Six Triple Eight—there are also several shows that are returning for new seasons, like Queer Eye and Virgin River.

Keep reading for our top picks from Netflix’s new releases, followed by a complete list of TV shows and movies that are coming to the streaming service beginning in December.

1. Polo

  • Premiere date: December 10

The five-episode series offers a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse at the fast-paced world of—you guessed it—professional polo. Oh, and did I mention that it is executive produced by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle?

2. Queer Eye

  • Premiere date: December 11

Prepare for loads of fabulousness, because Queer Eye is returning for season nine. This time, the Fab Five is heading to Las Vegas where they take on a new group of makeovers.

3. Virgin River

  • Premiere date: December 19

Who’s ready for Virgin River season six? The popular series is returning on December 19 with new episodes that pick up right where the previous installment ends. You know, with Mel and Jack’s highly anticipated wedding.

4. The Six Triple Eight

  • Premiere date: December 20

The Six Triple Eight is inspired by Kevin M. Hymel’s article “Fighting a Two-Front War,” and it depicts the true story of the first and only all-female Army Corps unit: the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion. Kerry Washington leads the cast of the movie, which is written and directed by Tyler Perry.
