Nelly and Ashanti Are Back Together After Nearly 10 Years—and They Made Their Relationship Insta-Official

Ashanti, 43, is still rocking with Nelly, 48! Nearly a decade after they called it quits on their relationship of 11 years, the pair has rekindled their relationship, and Nelly just made their revived romance Instagram official.

In honor of Ashanti’s birthday on October 13, the “Hot in Herre” rapper dedicated a sweet slideshow to his girlfriend. “One time for the birthday girl,” the artist born Cornell Iral Haynes Jr. wrote on Instagram. “Such a beautiful [and] incredible person inside and out and one of the hardest working women I know.. @ashanti Enjoy your day Ma you look awesome!!!! Happy Birthday Love ya!!!!”

The video montage featured pics of the couple throughout the years, as well as clips of them performing on stage, sitting for interviews and more.

Ashanti showed her love for the post in the comments section, where she humorously wrote: “Awwwwww Thank u Big head!!!!!!!! [face with hearts emoji] [kissing face emoji] love ya!!!!”

Other celebs appreciated the sweet tribute too, like singer-songwriter Erica Campbell, who wrote, “Y’all so cute!”

The two musical stars first started dating back in 2003 after they met at a press conference for the Grammy Awards. They remained together until 2014.

Rumors flew that the couple had rekindled their romance after they performed together in May at one of Ashanti's shows in Las Vegas. In September, Nelly confirmed their romantic reunion on an episode of Boss Moves with Rasheeda, saying, “I think it surprised both of us, though. It wasn't anything that was like...planned. But sometimes being separate, you understand one another more...’Cause you know we all can be defensive sometimes in our own relationships. And we know we're wrong, but we’re going to stand on it.”
