Neil Patrick Harris’s Rainbow Suit Stole the Show at the ‘Matrix Resurrections’ Premiere

Neil Patrick Harris is teaching us all a lesson on how to steal the red carpet—and we're definitely taking notes.

Last week, the How I Met Your Mother actor and his husband, David Burtka, attended the U.S. premiere of The Matrix: Resurrections in California. And while everyone was dressed to the nines, it was Harris's futuristic look that really turned heads. The 48-year-old stepped out in a fitting ombré suit from Berluti's Fall 2021 Collection, featuring Matrix neon-green hues with shades purple, blue and pink.

The actor also sported a matching turtleneck and completed the look with black double monk strap shoes.

On Instagram, the official Matrix Instagram account shared photos of the cast, including Harris, Priyanka Chopra, Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Jada Pinkett Smith. In the caption, they wrote, "'I saw this in a dream…' Last night’s US premiere of The Matrix Resurrections in San Francisco was a dream turned [into] reality."

In the fourth installment of the famous franchise, Harris will appear as Neo's therapist (psst: you can catch a glimpse of him in the movie's very first trailer). As for how he landed the role, Harris said that it all started with a "chemistry conversation" with director Lana Wachowski. He told Collider, "It was my own red pill... down the rabbit hole moment of getting to know someone I'd never met in a very, like, succinct way, and I guess it went well because I got a small part in the movie."

The Matrix Resurrections officially hits theaters this Wednesday, but until then, we'll be going down the rabbit hole of browsing through Harris's best red carpet looks.
