I've seen so many fabulous looks on the Golden Globes red carpet, from sequins and feathers to bold prints. One of my favorite looks of the night? Mindy Kaling's dazzling gold dress by Ashi Studio. But my main focus, of course, is on Kaling's sweet remarks about her longtime friend, Meghan Markle.

In case you missed it, the actress and comedian was asked about her cameo on the royal's upcoming Netflix showWith Love, Meghan, and she was quick to praise the duchess's cooking skills. Kaling recalled, "I had had my baby and I think I was two months postpartum and she texted me and was like, 'Do you want to be in my show?' And when you hang out with Meghan, you know the food is going to be good."

Kaling added, "It's just nice to have someone else be cooking for me. So I was like, 'I'll come to Montecito and have you cook for me and go to your garden.' And that's what we did."

Per Tudum, With Love, Meghan follows Markle as she channels her inner Ina Garten, sharing several tips for cooking, gardening and crafting as she prepares to host her guests, including Roy Choi, Alice Waters and other well-known chefs.

FYI, this isn't the first time Kaling and Markle collaborated on a project. In 2022, Kaling appeared on an episode of Markle's Archetypes podcast to discuss motherhood and marriage. In the episode, called "The Stigma of the Singleton," both ladies got candid about being very shy when they were younger—and Kaling was quite surprised to learn this about Markle.

Kaling said, "You do seem so intimidating. Your life is together, like you’re so beautiful. Even in the Oprah thing is like, oh, my God, she has chickens. Like, who has their s**t together enough to raise chickens and kids, like, come on. It’s nice to know that you were a lonely kid who didn’t like necessarily being that way."

Markle's upcoming series drops on Netflix on January 15.
