Mindy Kaling tries to keep her three children—Katherine (“Kit”), 6, Spencer, 4, and Anne, 1—out of the public eye, but that didn’t stop her from including a rare photo of her youngest daughter in her latest Instagram post.
The Mindy Project star, 45, recently shared a slideshow of photos on social media, which included a never-before-seen photo of the 1-year-old.
The slideshow is filled with photoshoot snaps, candid pics and screenshots of text conversations. But if you scroll to the tenth photo, you'll notice that Kaling included a rare picture of her daughter, Anne. The image shows the 1-year-old sitting on the ground and playing with a pink toy.
The caption read, “In some ways I am making tv but in other ways I am on a journey to find the best Italian sub in Los Angeles.”
This isn’t the first time that Kaling has posted photos of her kids on social media. However, the actress has maintained their privacy by only posting photos of their backs (and not their faces). If they do happen to face the camera, she covers them with a strategically placed emoji.
Kaling has been notoriously private about her family life. In fact, Kaling kept her third pregnancy completely under wraps, only revealing she had welcomed her third child months later. She announced the news by sharing a sweet photo of her older children, Kit and Spencer, cuddling their newborn sister on a blanket, along with a snapshot of her baby bump.
We may not know much about Kaling’s brood but one thing’s for sure: Anne inherited her mom’s gorgeous brunette hair.
