Ya Gotta Love These Two ‘This Is Us’ Stars for Showing Up Boldly Underdressed for an Emmy Party

Milo Ventimiglia and Justin Hartley may not be actually related, but when they hit the red carpet at an NBC and Universal Emmy nomination celebration on Tuesday, their laid-back outfits made it clear they’re cut from the same cloth.

Both This Is Us stars rocked jeans—yes, jeans—at the party, which took place at Los Angeles’s Tesse Restaurant. Their relaxed outfits were a stark contrast to their co-star Mandy Moore’s sleek cocktail attire, but we suppose they made it work.

Ventimiglia, the 42-year-old actor who plays Jack on the series, was the more casual of the two, in an outfit that could have easily been worn grocery shopping.

As you’ll notice above, he paired a black polo shirt with faded jeans and work boots. He did, however, throw in a very fancy looking yellow gold watch with the ensemble.

Like his TV dad, Hartley also kept his red carpet look very chill.

Hartley wore a chambray double-button blazer, a white T-shirt, medium-wash jeans and Gucci sneakers. He, too, completed the look with a nice watch, but still, guys. Come on.

For reference, Moore looked like the sartorial goddess that she always is in a sultry Proenza Schouler halter-neck handkerchief dress with black, white, beige, camel and taupe color blocking and an asymmetrical hem.

Stunning, right? Moore’s elegantly draped frock even revealed a little side boob.

The IRL Rebecca accessorized the look with a tiny tassel purse and black pointed-toe heels with a braided ankle strap. She completed the ensemble with Anita Ko earrings. Her earrings aren’t available, but a similar pair from Ko’s line retails for $21,650, so we’d say she definitely dressed for the occasion.

All we can say is, bold move, Justin and Milo.
