Sorry, Miley Fans—the Singer Says She Likely Won’t Do Another Arena Tour: ‘It’s So Isolating’

She can't be tamed and she can't be persuaded to perform in an arena. Miley Cyrus, 30, recently sat down for an interview with British Vogue, where she confessed that she likely won't be doing an arena tour to support her latest album, Endless Summer Vacation.

When asked about touring, the Hannah Montana alum said, “It’s been a minute...After the last [headline arena] show I did [in 2014], I kind of looked at it as more of a question. And I can’t. Not only ‘can’t’ because can’t is your capability, but my desire. Do I want to live my life for anyone else’s pleasure or fulfillment other than my own?”

Earlier in the interview, the singer said: “Like singing for hundreds of thousands of people isn’t really the thing that I love. There’s no connection. There’s no safety...It’s also not natural. It’s so isolating because if you’re in front of 100,000 people then you are alone.”

In the past, Cyrus has gone on major tours to support her albums like Plastic Hearts (2020) and Bangerz (2013). She's been touring for most of her life, going all the way back to when she was only 15 and she embarked on The Best of Both Worlds Tour to support her double album, Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus.

The Last Song actress's latest album debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, and it contained the smash number-one hit “Flowers.”

Upon its release, “Flowers” shot to the top spot in countries around the world and it broke the record of being the most-streamed song in a week on Spotify. It then later broke the record to become the fastest song to achieve a billion streams on Spotify.
