Watch Bohemian Rhapsody and you'll probably do a double take: Is that Mike Myers in a wig and Hawaiian shirt playing EMI record executive Ray Foster?
Yep, it is—and during a red carpet interview with Ryan Seacrest at tonight's Oscars, Myers spilled a kinda crazy detail about taking on that role. Wait for it: He actually didn't even read the script before saying yes to the part.
Apparently, it was the first time he'd ever done that for a film, but after saying yes and sitting down to dig in, he was immediately moved to tears. He told Seacrest: “It's a fantastic celebration of Freddie Mercury.”
Still, bold move, Myers. But clearly his instincts were right: Bohemian Rhapsody is nominated for a cool five awards tonight. Slow clap.
