Michael Phelps and Wife Nicole Welcome Baby No. 3 (and His Name Is *So* 'Top Gun')

Boomer and Beckett are big bros!

Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps and wife Nicole Michelle Phelps welcomed their third baby, a boy, into the family on September 9. And they just revealed the happy news and baby name (and gorgeous hospital-bed pics...we mean, this is the most put-together delivery room scene we've ever laid eyes on).

Phelps revealed the couple's third son, named Maverick Nicholas Phelps, via an Instagram of his new bundle of joy.

"Family of 5! Welcome @mavericknphelps to the world! Born 9-9-19," the gold medalist wrote in the caption. "Mama and baby are healthy and the boys are pumped to be big bros! #housefullofboys."

Proud mama Nicole also posted the pic of baby Maverick (and we're diggin' the Top Gun vibes we're getting from the name). She captioned it, "We welcomed Maverick Nicolas Phelps into the world on 9/9/19 at 36 weeks and 2 days."

She also revealed that Maverick weighed 6 lbs. 5 oz. and was 20 inches.

"He instantly has stolen all of our hearts and keeps me an ecstatic mommy of boys," she continued. "I can't wait to walk this journey surrounded by my men. #familyof5."

The Phelps family has Instagram handles for their five members, including Boomer, 3, and Beckett, 1...and Maverick is no different. Mom Nicole already tagged her baby's handle in the Insta caption, @MaverickNPhelps, and he already has 19K followers... Start 'em young (on the 'gram), we guess?

We can't wait for Maverick's first photo in aviators... (Yes, we're following a three-day-old baby now. 2019, amIrite?)
