We've all had those moments where we take a photo and then realize it could've benefited from better lighting. In his most recent Instagram Story, Michael Consuelos revealed that he's dealt with it too, and he made the best joke about a low-lit family pic.

The 25-year-old shared a photo where he is seen posing alongside his mom, Kelly Ripa, 52, and his younger brother, Joaquin, 20. However, it was hard to see any of the people in the photo due to the shadows, and Michael jokingly captioned it: “Hello from your sleep paralysis demons.”

This photo was taken during one of the Consuelos family vacations, and Ripa shared it to her own account back in July 2021.

She posted the snap along with a photo of her husband posing with their two sons (which was a little better lit). In her caption, Ripa jokingly wrote, “The photo battle between us continued on our trip to #alberobello i think there’s a clear winner.”

But while this photo may not have turned out too great, luckily Ripa has gotten plenty of great shots with her kids over the years.

For instance, back in September 2021, the Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host posted a gorgeous image of her and her two sons chilling on a boat. In her caption, she wrote, “Did someone say #nationalsonsday ? How lucky am I?” Only a couple days before that, Ripa had posted a snap of her daughter Lola snuggling up with their family dog, Lena.

This may not be a photo for framing and hanging around the house, but at least they got a funny story out of it.
