Meghan Markle Speaks Out About Son Archie During Colombia Tour with Prince Harry

She spoke about him in Spanish

It looks like Meghan Markle, is having quite an eventful weekend in Colombia. First, she showed some impressive dance moves while visiting the Delia Zapata Olivella National Arts Center. And now, the duchess is paying a subtle tribute to her son, Prince Archie, at Colegio La Giralda in Santa Fe.

The proud mom (43), joined her husband, Prince Harry (39), for a special visit to the public school on their second day in Colombia. They observed a few lessons, toured the school’s historical memory museum and engaged with several kindergarten students. And according to Hello! magazine, the royal was quick to mention her 5-year-old son.

While greeting the students, Markle asked them their names in Spanish. And when she came across a kindergartener who shared something in common with her little boy, she said, "You’re the same age as my son Archie."

Prince Harry also chatted with the kids in Spanish and did puzzles with them.

Per their official website, their visit to the school was "a celebration of education, emotional well-being, and community spirit, highlighting the remarkable initiatives and the dedicated people who make Colegio La Giralda possible."

In addition, the duchess and her husband visited La Giralda’s urban garden, where they planted a walnut tree alongside Colombia's vice president, Francia Márquez. They also enjoyed a tour of the school's socio-emotional gym, whih features interactive stations designed to help kids identify their emotions and resolve conflicts.

Márquez shared a few highlights from their visit on Instagram and wrote, "We met with preschool children from La Giralda School, where reading, art and play lead the way in learning. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and I are very happy and grateful for this welcome full of hugs and smiles. We reaffirm once again that our main commitment is to guarantee the new generations a life full of opportunities, respect and love. #harrymeghanincolombia"

Following their visit, the royals released a statement on their official website that reads, "The couple extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Colegio La Giralda who made this visit a memorable and inspiring occasion."

Today marks the final day of Prince Harry and Markle's four-day visit. After they meet with the Colombian Invictus Games team, they will pay a visit to the historic village of San Basilio de Palenque, better known as the first free town in the Americas.
