Set thy trumpeting alarm and polish your royal-ogling monocles (too much?) because we're getting another Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sighting so soon.
Per the Daily Mail's Rebecca English, Buckingham Palace just added another event to the Sussexes' royal queue, and it's in their backyard (well, basically). The event will see Harry and Meghan attend Dr. Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots Global Leadership Meeting on Tuesday, July 23 at Windsor Castle, aka about a stone's throw from the couple's home of Frogmore Cottage.
Dr. Jane Goodall is an English primatologist and anthropologist. She's been studying chimpanzees and other primates for more than 55 years, and is considered the world's leading expert on wild chimpanzees. Her Roots & Shoots campaign focuses on bringing together youth from preschool to university age to work on environmental, conservation and humanitarian issues.
Could this have anything to do with Harry and Meghan's upcoming royal tour of Africa, happening this fall? The Roots & Shoots program began in Tanzania, where Goodall spent much of her time studying chimps. Although the duke and duchess won't be traveling to Tanzania (they plan on visiting the countries of Botswana, South Africa, Malawi and Angola), it does feel appropriate for the royal couple to attend the event, seeing that their first Sussex Royal Foundation initiative will also focus on conservation in the local community.
