Meghan Markle and Prince Harry just surprised one very lucky girl with a private mentoring session.
In honor of Women's History Month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are encouraging individuals to “unleash a groundswell of real acts of compassion” on their Archewell website. The site also provides a handful of resources for ways people can get involved, including an option to tutor young women in virtual counseling sessions.
And it seems like the couple is taking their own advice because, according to People, the duo recently signed up to mentor a teenage girl looking to pursue higher education. Oh, and did we mention it was a surprise?
“She had this moment of surprise and excitement when she got on the phone with the Duke and Duchess,” L.A. Works Executive Director Deborah Brutchey told the outlet in an exclusive. “She knew of them, she knew a lot—she had been following Meghan's story quite a bit, so she was very excited that she had the opportunity to speak with them.”
