Surprise! ICYMI, the Duchess of Sussex—aka Meghan Markle—is in New York for a whirlwind (and unannounced) long weekend for a very important and time-sensitive reason: to celebrate the arrival of her royal baby-to-be.
Yep, the duchess is officially in her third trimester (Baby Sussex is due end of April/early May), so this is kind of her last chance to hop on a plane and toast her kid-free life with her American pals. Here, everything we know about her (first) baby shower.
Where did it take place? The royal shower was held at The Mark, an exclusive and uber-fancy Upper East Side hotel. Meghan's bestie Serena Williams was not only in attendance, but she rented out the entire 10,000-square-foot penthouse suite, which costs a cool $75,000 a night. (It also has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, four fireplaces and views of Central Park. In other words, it's a primo NYC spot.)
Who was invited? You've got Serena—hostess with the mostess—who's rumored to have co-hosted the fete with Meghan's other bestie Amal Clooney. But that's not all: there's Misha Nonoo (Meghan's friend who supposedly was instrumental in introducing her to Prince Harry), Jessica Mulroney (Meghan's former stylist), Abigail Spencer (her former Suits co-star), Priyanka Chopra and more.
