Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton & Camilla Parker Bowles Wore Matching Hats Today (Which Could Have a Hidden Meaning)

With Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee taking place this weekend, there have been all kinds of royal updates, and you better believe we've had our eyes peeled for all the best royal fashion. From Kate Middleton's rewear (which paid tribute to Princess Diana) to Prince Louis's sailor outfit that was recycled from his dad, there have been plenty of headline-grabbing looks. But today, we couldn't help but notice that three of the main attendees at the Service of Thanksgiving—Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle, and Camilla Parker Bowles—all seemed to coordinate their accessories.

At the church service, all three women donned floppy hats that were titled to the left and characterized by large, thin brims. Each piece of headwear was also decorated with either floral or bow accoutrements. Meanwhile, all three opted for sparkly silver earrings, and they nearly matched in the color of their ’fits as well, with Markle in white, Bowles wearing cream and Middleton choosing a pale yellow dress.

While we loved this masterful matching, the coordination seemed a little *too* perfect to be accidental, which leads us to believe the trio planned this harmonization ahead of time. And this is especially meaningful considering that they kept Markle in the loop.

Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's public decision to step down from their positions as senior royals, it's been rumored that there was tension between the couple and much of their family across the pond. Meanwhile, until this past April, Markle had not made a visit to the U.K. since the beginning of 2020.

However, this coordination between the three royals seems to suggest a gesture of good will, and it hopefully means that Markle is still in frequent communication with her sister-in-law and mother-in-law.

This isn't the first time we've noticed this pattern this weekend. Yesterday, during Trooping the Colour, we got a glimpse of Markle thanks to a series of photos from the Daily Mail. In the pics, we could see that Markle wore a large navy and white hat by Stephen Jones, which matched perfectly with Middleton's bi-colored hat (and once again, both of the accessories tilted in the same direction too).

We'll be keeping an eye out for more matching moments during the rest of the queen's Platinum Jubilee.
