Meghan Markle Pulls Off the Ultimate Prank During Surprise Visit to ‘Ellen’

There’s nothing quite like an Ellen DeGeneres prank. And her latest one involving Meghan Markle is definitely on our list of favorites.

The mother of two paid a visit to Thursday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. During the segment, she opened up about everything from her kids’ Halloween costumes to the inspiration behind her children’s book, The Bench. Of course, the visit wasn’t all heartfelt conversations. In fact, the TV show host revealed Markle’s one demand for coming onto the daytime series.

“When Meghan and I were talking about dong the show, the first thing you said to me is, ‘I want to do one of those IFBs,’” DeGeneres said in a clip from the segment. (If you’re unfamiliar, and IFB is a listening device regularly used by TV networks and DeGeneres is known for doing these types of bits with celebrities such as Adele and Dennis Quaid.)

“So, sometimes we have vendors on the lot here. They come and they sell different things. We never know what it’s going to be. Earlier we set up some hidden cameras around those vendors and I sent Meghan out to do some shopping. She wore an earpiece and had to say and do everything I told her to do.”

And the footage didn’t disappoint. The Duchess of Sussex did everything her pal told her to do, including eating snacks like a chipmunk and telling people she had magical powers. Watch the full clip above.

We love seeing this side of Meghan.
