One look at Meghan Markle’s Instagram account and it’s clear: She’s not the only member of the Sussex family getting in on the jam-making. Her latest post showcases an artful snap of what appears to be her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who are now 5 and 3, picking strawberries in a lush green garden. Her caption? “Cheers to the first day of spring!” Meghan says.
Meghan Markle Just Shared a Brand-New Pic of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet on Instagram
Strawberry fields forever

Her enthusiasm makes sense (today is the first day of spring). But you definitely have to do a bit of royal guesswork to notice that her kids are also featured in the post celebrating the new season. The photo does not include Archie and Lilibet’s faces, but instead shows kid-like feet (we assume they belong to Archie) in the grassy background and little hands holding an almost overflowing basket of delicious-looking strawberries in the foreground (Lili). Is this proof that the kids are rolling up their sleeves and helping their mom as she gets ready to launch her artisanal jam via her new brand As Ever later this spring? Based on this photo, yes.
Of course, this isn’t the only time we’ve seen Meghan—who alongside husband Prince Harry is intent on protecting their children’s privacy online—creatively post about her kids on Instagram. Both Archie and Lili were active participants in a behind-the-scenes video she shared of her and the kids making thumbprint cookies for her appearance promoting her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, on The Drew Barrymore Show. She also posted about their Valentine’s Day breakfast in February, which also happened to feature strawberries. (Meghan cuts the bright red fruit into heart shapes while Lili spreads cream cheese on a bagel in the background.)

Still, ever since Meghan and Harry’s royal exit in March 2020, it’s always a surprise—and joy—to catch a glimpse of the Sussex kids. But while Meghan may be less likely to share photos of her kids, she’s eager to offer anecdotes about her motherhood journey in Montecito. (We found it especially interesting to learn how she and Harry make the effort to stay connected in the midst of a zillion kid logistics. It’s hard!)
Now, there’s only one question left to answer: Is Harry getting in on the jam-making, too?
