Mark Consuelos Loses it on Morning Show After Kelly Ripa Calls Him Out for Interrupting Her ‘Bama Rush’ Documentary

The dynamic daytime duo is at it again. On a recent episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, daytime talk show host Kelly Ripa, 52, recounted a personal story to viewers (and it made her husband lose it with laughter). She recalled her futile attempt to watch the new HBO Max documentary, titled Bama Rush, aaaand things didn’t quite go as planned.

In a new video shared on the Live Instagram page, Ripa’s hubby, Mark Consuelos, 52, shares that he went to see the one-woman Broadway play, Prima Facie, which is led by Killing Eve alum, Jodie Comer.

After he came home from the show, Ripa (watching the Bama Rush doc) paused the program and politely asked her hubby if he enjoyed the play. “[I was] expecting him to say ‘It was great’ or ‘I didn’t like it,’” she tells the audience in the vid.

But that wasn’t the response she got. Instead, the Live Wire author says Consuelos reenacted parts of the play in front of her, taking her completely off guard.

While forcing a smile, Ripa jokingly says, “I was like ‘Oh, I didn’t he was going to act out the whole play here in the bedroom.”

And this makes Consuelos burst out in laughter. “You’re such a good wife,” he says in the video.

As a second attempt, Ripa tried to watch Bama Rush again. Not even five minutes in, their son Joaquin, 20, walked into the bedroom. That’s when the father-son duo started working through scenes of the play together. So it seems Ripa got a chance to see Prima Facie twice in one night.

But the documentary? Sadly, she never finished it. “I got a chance to see Prima Facie without leaving my couch,” she says, causing her husband to lose it all over again.
