Margot Robbie Shows Up to Golden Globes Dressed as Superstar Barbie 1977

It looks like Margot Robbie is still enjoying her time in Barbie Land, because she graced the 2024 Golden Globes red carpet with yet another fabulous Barbie-inspired look.

After paying homage to several famous Barbie dolls throughout 2023, the 33-year-old star is keeping the momentum going with a dazzling pink Armani gown, inspired by Superstar Barbie's outfit from 1977.

The actress totally nailed the look, all the way down to her pink tulle boa and matching custom BB Pumps from Manolo Blahnik. Robbie also donned a similar pair of sparkling diamond earrings and wore her hair in loose waves.

On Instagram, one fan wrote, "I loveee that she’s still continuing to wear the historical Barbie outfits even though the press before the movie ended months ago." Another fan commented, "She owns the color pink." TBH, we couldn't agree more.

The outfit choice comes as no surprise, given that the hit film became a cultural phenomenon and racked up a total of nine Golden Globes nominations this year—including Robbie's nod for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical.

When asked about the success and impact of Barbie on the red carpet, she told Variety, “When we would go to the theater on opening weekend and see this sea of people wearing pink or dressed up as Ken, it was such a wild feeling, and I haven’t seen this communal kind of experience since I was a kid.”
