Mandy Moore Reveals Just How Much Son Gus Looks Like Her Husband

We've heard of strong genetics, but this is really something. Mandy Moore, 38, recently shared a series of vintage pics that feature her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, 37, as a small child. Why you might ask? Well, Moore used these photos to point out how closely the pair's 2-year-old child, August “Gus” Harrison, resembles his dad at that age.

Moore had previously shared these photos in 2019, with the caption: “When your father-in-law is on a roll sending childhood pics of your husband [raising hands emoji].” However, now these photos have new meaning. The Chasing Liberty actress shared the memories and wrote, “Baby Taylor IS Gus.”

In the photo, a young Goldsmith is seen pointing at something and laughing while his dad sits beside him. Toddler-era Goldsmith sports a pair of striped overalls, and he's got a head full of bright blonde hair.

When you compare the photo to a recent slideshow Moore posted for Gus's 2nd birthday, the resemblance is uncanny. The pair's eldest son has the exact same smile and the same color hair that his dad had at that age. The Princess Diaries actress posted these photos in February, with a caption that read, “Happy 2nd Bday to the brightest light. What a thoughtful, curious, wild, loving guy you are, Gus. I don’t even have the words to describe just how much you changed everything in the most magnificent way possible. Thank you for making me a mom!”

Along with Gus, Moore and Goldsmith welcomed their second son, Oscar “Ozzie” Bennett, in October 2022. The couple have been together since 2015 and they tied the knot in Los Angeles on November 18, 2018.

But, in case followers weren't convinced enough by the one throwback, Moore posted another shot of Goldsmith as a kid. Over this photo, the “Candy” singer wrote: “My heart.”

Only time will tell if Oscar turns out to be the spitting image of his father too.
