It’s been nearly a month since Mandy Moore and her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, welcomed their second son, Oscar “Ozzie” Bennett Goldsmith. And now, the This Is Us star is finally sharing details about her birth experience.
Today, Moore shared a slideshow of intimate photos on her personal Instagram account that were taken moments after she gave birth to Ozzie.
The first photo shows Moore holding her baby for the first time, and her joyful expression says it all. It’s followed by close-up shots of Ozzie, a picture of the proud dad and a group photo with the nursing staff.
In the caption, Moore revealed that she couldn’t be more thrilled about her family’s newest addition. She wrote, “One month with our Ozzie. I’m still able to access everything about that moment, which simultaneously feels like one second ago and also unimaginable to fathom life before.”
The actress also thanked the medical staff who helped bring Ozzie into the world, adding, “Thank you, Dr. Waldman, our rockstar L&D nurse, Athena, and our doula (and photographer) @rebeccacoursey_photosandfilm for holding space and allowing for such a transcendent birth experience.”
At the end of the caption, Moore joked that Ozzie already has good taste in music. “Baby boy came into this world to the soundtrack of Willie Nelson’s ‘Stardust,’” she continued. “Good choice, sir!”
Moore and Goldsmith are also parents to a 1-year-old son, August “Gus” Harrison.
