While Madonna might've been ready to Vogue the night away, she wasn't going to spend her 65th birthday celebration without her kids by her side.
The Michigan native turned the big 6-5 on August 16, and she commemorated the milestone by throwing a glamorous bash in Lisbon, Portugal. A video compiling moments from the trip was shared to the “Material Girl” singer's Instagram account.
“It’s great to be Alive,” Madonna wrote at the beginning of her caption. “And Amazing to Be able to put on my dancing shoes and Celebrate my Birthday! [party blower emoji] [I’m] So Grateful. Thank you Lisbon and to all who made it possible!” The singer also added emojis of a red heart and the flag of Portugal.
In the clip, we see the Evita actress having a blast as she hangs out on boats, rides horses along the beach and spends quality time with her six children—Lourdes, 26, Rocco, 23, David, 17, Mercy, 17 and twins Stella and Estere, 10.
The video compilation is fittingly soundtracked with Madonna's chart-topping hit “Vogue.”
In the video, as well as in photos that Madonna posted to her Instagram story (which have since expired, but you can see here, courtesy of People), she is seen posing with her kids while wearing a sheer gown bedazzled with silver gems.
Her eldest daughter, Lourdes, even performed during the celebration (seemingly following in her mother's footsteps). The “Like a Prayer” singer thanked her daughter for the performance on her IG story, writing, “Thank you for your beautiful music @lourdesleon.”
This was certainly a celebration fit for a Queen of Pop.
