As we gear up for Matt James’s season of The Bachelor, Madison Prewett is sharing foolproof advice for the soon-to-be contestants.

The Bachelor alum, 24, recently sat down for an interview with PureWow and discussed what she’s learned since starring on season 24 of the popular dating series.

“Honestly, I would say to the contestants on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette: Know who you are and embrace that. Be content with that. Be true to yourself. Don’t change who you are to feel loved or accepted, or to get a rose or to get a date,” she told PureWow.

Prewett (who is currently promoting her partnership with World Vision) went on to explain how that mindset impacted her experience on The Bachelor. “I think when we can fully embrace ourselves, it really gives us the best chance of having the best experiences in life and making a lot of cool connections and relationships along the way,” she said. “I feel like I tried to be really intentional about doing that on the show, and it’s definitely not an easy environment to do that.”

Prewett also revealed that she wasn’t surprised when Tayshia Adams replaced Clare Crawley on The Bachelorette. “I think every season is going to bring some interesting twists and turns, as I’m sure you experienced watching season 24,” she continued. “So, I’m never really surprised. I’m always just anticipating it.”

Noted. Season 25 of The Bachelor will premiere on Monday, January 4, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
