Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are offering a rare glimpse of their 1-year-old daughter, Lilibet, who looks exactly like her dad.
Today, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released a never-before-seen portrait in honor of Lilibet’s first birthday. The pic was taken by professional photographer Misan Harriman, who shared a slideshow of pictures from the shoot on social media.
The first photo features baby Lilibet, who looks so grown up. The 1-year-old is wearing a blue dress and a white hair bow that accentuates her red locks. The second pic shows Markle and Lilibet posing with Harriman’s wife and kids, followed by another shot of Harriman with his daughter.
The caption read, “It was such a privilege to celebrate the 1st birthday of Lilibet with my family and hers! Joy and face painting all around [red heart emoji] [cake emoji] [confetti emoji].”
Royal fans filled the comments section with positive remarks. One person wrote, “What a little cutie pie! So adorable!” Another added, “The copy of the father [heart emoji].”
According to People magazine, the photos were taken on Saturday at Frogmore Cottage in England. The couple reportedly hosted a “casual, intimate backyard picnic” with friends before they returned to America.
The get-together likely took place after Lilibet met her namesake, Queen Elizabeth. Although the Sussexes didn’t attend very many public events, they did travel to London to celebrate the monarch’s Platinum Jubilee. Not only were they spotted through a Buckingham Palace window, but they were also seen arriving at St. Paul’s Cathedral.
