You can say we're "Gaga" for this look

We expected nothing less from Lady Gaga, 38, when she took center stage to perform a rendition of Zizi Jeanmaire’s “Mon Truc En Plumes” during the 2024 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony. As she descended a gold-colored staircase, she was surrounded by a plethora of backup dancers waving pink feathers. (Talk about making an entrance!)

During her performance, the Grammy-Award-winning singer rocked a black sleeveless mini dress with matching opera gloves, sleek black stockings and stiletto heels. But what really caught our attention? No, it wasn’t her platinum blonde hair and bleached eyebrows—it was her bright red lip, channeling another pop icon, Taylor Swift

Swift has been sporting her signature red lip as far back as 2009, when she rocked the bold, striking hue for an Allure cover shoot. But Google searches for the “Cardigan” singer’s go-to red lippie spiked when the 34-year-old musician sported the iconic look at a bunch of Kansas City Chiefs games she attended at the start of the season.

In the past, Swift would always reach for the MAC Ruby Woo ($23), saying in an interview with People, “I think everyone knows [it] is a staple. I was the last person to discover it.” Earlier this year, we talked about how she loves using the Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance Lipstick in shade Elson ($39) to create her signature red lip.

Lady Gaga channeling Taylor Swift with her red lippie? Oh, we are so here for it.
