Lady Gaga Poses with Elton John's Sons (AKA Her Godchildren) in Rare New Photos

Lady Gaga has been called many things, from Mother Monster to the Queen of Pop. However, our new favorite moniker for the singer might be the title she was given in a post from Elton John's husband, David Furnish, who called her “Gagamother.”

While the Grammy and Academy Award-winning star has taken on many important roles throughout the years, you might not know that she also acts as a godparent to John and Furnish's two sons, Elijah, 9, and Zachary, 11.

Gaga was seen with her godchildren in a series of rare photos taken from the red carpet of the Elton John AIDS Foundation's 30th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party. While stunning in a lemon sorbet-colored dress, the “Bad Romance” singer knelt down and posed with the two young boys, who were wearing matching blue suits.

Then, the singer held hands with Elijah and Zachary for another photo, where the trio was joined by Furnish. The Rocket Entertainment Group CEO shared the snap to his Instagram, where he said, “So excited to be at #EJAFOscars night with the boys, Gagamother, and all of our incredible friends!! This is @EJAF’s biggest night of the year, and it means the world to us and our partners around the world.”

John discussed Lady Gaga's role as a godmother while chatting with Extra back in 2013. “She’s a great role model,” he said. “She’s been a great godmother to Zachary. She came to bathe him in Las Vegas. She was already dressed to go to the show, and she was sitting there and she bathed him, and she was like dressed like Audrey Hepburn…and she fed him…We're all bonkers in this business, but we're human beings at the same time.”

We love seeing her in Gagamother mode.
