Jack Skellington–Approved: Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard Bring Christmas to Their Halloween Costumes

Who said you can't bring some Christmas spirit to the spookiest holiday of the year?

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard decided to skip the usual scary Halloween costumes and dress as Mrs. Claus and Santa (riding a reindeer) instead. They posted a family portrait (with their kids being Rudolph and a Christmas tree) on Instagram—and Jack Skellington would definitely approve.

The Good Place star captioned the post, "Merry Christmas, Halloween," along with a mix of pumpkinand Christmas trees emojis.

The Bell-Shepard fam weren't the only ones getting in on the fun. Hours before the big reveal, Bell hinted at the costume theme by sharing photos on Instagram of one of her dogs dressed as a snowman, with the other dressed as a gift-delivery elf.

The Halloween costume choice is refreshing since the Frozen star was Queen Elsa not once, but twice in a row (along with daughter Lincoln). Shepard also donned the same pumpkin costume with their youngest daughter Delta for two years in a row.

"I relate to being a creature of habit, but I'm really hoping that they inject some creativity to this year's costumes," Shepard told People of his daughters previously. "I don't know how many years I can go with the pumpkin."

Christmas in October? Sure beats Elsa and a pumpkin.
