‘Riverdale’ Star KJ Apa Buzzed Off All His Hair and He Looks Totally Different Without Those Red Locks

For any Riverdale fans out there, the show's lead, KJ Apa, is perhaps most recognizable for his brightly dyed red hair, which allows him to perfectly transform into the part of Archie Andrews. However, it looks like the actor is going for a new style to close out the summer, because he just buzzed off all his locks and looks totally different.

The 25-year-old New Zealand actor showed off his new ’do in an Instagram post he shared a few days back, where he simply wrote, “Reset. One Fast Move.” In the close-up photo, Apa is seen sitting in a field of grass with a flower tucked behind his ear. He gives a soft smile as he debuts his newly-shaved head, and the short cut shows off the star's naturally dark brown hair color.

Fellow Riverdale stars showed their love for the actor's fresh cut, like Vanessa Morgan (Toni Topaz), who said, “Love!” Meanwhile, Marisol Nichols (Hermione Lodge) wrote the same thing in her own comment, while Ashleigh Murray (Josie McCoy) left a bunch of exclamation points. Other celebs showed their appreciation, like Virgin River star Colin Lawrence, who said, “Who dis!?!?”

Apa's caption seemed to have a double meaning, because not only could “one fast move” be a reference to the quick alteration of his look, but it's also the name of his latest movie, which has just begun production.

The film, titled One Fast Move, was announced by Deadline back in June, where they wrote, “In [this] actioner written and directed by Kelly Blatz, a dishonorably discharged soldier (Apa) seeks out his estranged father to help him pursue his dream of racing Supersport motorcycles. While training, he meets a small-town aspiring singer who begins to break down the walls his father’s absence had built up.”
