Now, this is not the first time the king has been photographed interacting with well-wishers following his cancer diagnosis. Back in April, King Charles, and his wife, Queen Camilla, 77, took part in a surprise walkabout outside of Windsor Castle to greet fans after attending the Easter Sunday service at St. George’s Chapel. (FYI, This year’s Easter Sunday service was the king’s first public appearance since starting his cancer treatment earlier this year.)
During the stroll, per Hello! Magazine, His Majesty personally met a devoted royal admirer who wished him well on his journey to recovery. “Happy Easter, Your Majesty. Never give in, keep going strong,” the person said, according to the report.
After he thanked the well-wisher for their sincere comment, King Charles made a surprising comment about his marriage. While looking over at his wife, the monarch said with a smile, “I just obey my instructions.” (Pretty sound marriage advice coming from the king.)
