I’ve always wondered what King Charles and Queen Camilla are like behind closed doors. Thanks to this new interview, some of my questions have been answered.
Former Royal Gardener Shares Details About King Charles & Queen Camilla's Relationship (Including Their Separate Residences)
They appreciate their alone time

Former royal gardener Jack Stooks recently shared never-before-heard details about the monarch’s relationship with his wife, including how they agreed to separate residences prior to tying the knot.
“Before Charles and Camilla got married, they agreed Camilla would keep her home,” Stooks said (on behalf of JeffBet). “The separate space was important for them both and their families. For Camilla, her Wiltshire house had so many memories of raising her family. It's somewhere she can retreat and escape royal life if she needs to. It's somewhere she can go with her family and have a laid back weekend without prying eyes.”
While it’s unclear how often the royal spends time in her Wiltshire house these days, Stooks revealed that time apart is an essential element of King Charles and Queen Camilla’s marriage because it makes their time spent together that much more meaningful.
“Charles enjoys time alone, and he's got a very strong work ethic,” the former gardener explained. “He's been known to work at his desk into the early hours. Camilla, meanwhile, has a lot of friends and is close to her family. They're both independent people and don't mind time apart.”
Stooks continued, “The fact they don’t live in each other’s pockets is one of the many reasons their marriage works. They enjoy their time together and the time apart.”
Happy wife, happy life.
