It was a whirlwind couple of days for the Prince and Princess of Wales. Kate Middleton returned to the public eye at Wimbledon with her daughter, Princess Charlotte. Prince William and Prince George cheered on Team England at the Euro 2024 finals. And then today, the family shared a photo of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis watching the soccer finals on TV at home.

Not to be outdone, King Charles and Queen Camilla are kicking off the week with royal headlines of their own, including the announcement of a major royal tour.

Today on social media, Buckingham Palace revealed that the monarch and his wife will be traveling to Australia and Samoa this fall.

The full statement from the Palace read, "Their Majesties The King and Queen will undertake an Autumn Tour in October 2024. This will include Royal Visits to Australia and Samoa, where Their Majesties will attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2024."

It continued, "The King and Queen will visit Australia at the invitation of the Australian Government, where their programme will feature engagements in the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales."

The statement finished, "Their Majesties’ State Visit to Samoa will celebrate the strong bilateral relationship between the Pacific Island nation and the U.K."

The tour announcement wasn't the only piece of news from the king and queen today. They also made a royal appearance in Jersey, where they were photographed together in the rain. Charles shared a message about the visit on social media, writing, "Jersey has one of the oldest connections to the Crown and we are delighted to be here once again to celebrate the special and close relationship which binds us together." He ended the message with his personal signature, "Charles R."
