Every year, royal admirers anxiously patiently wait for members of the British royal family to unveil their annual Christmas cards. Finally, over the weekend, Prince William, 41, and Kate Middleton, 41, released their official family Christmas card. And as expected, the king and queen’s holiday card followed shortly after.

On Saturday, King Charles, 75, and his wife, Queen Camilla, 76, unveiled their annual Christmas card on the Instagram page dedicated to the royal family. Unlike last year’s festive portrait, which was taken mere days before Charles ascended the throne, this Christmas card photo was snapped after a very historical event: the king’s coronation.

In the portrait (taken by royal photographer Hugo Burnand), the couple is wearing royal regalia from head to toe while posing together in the Throne Room of Buckingham Palace following the crowning ceremony held on May 6, 2023. Meanwhile, the other side of the holiday card reads, “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year.”

On the same day, the Prince and Princess of Wales released their Christmas card on their joint Instagram account. The royal couple, along with their three kids, gave classic old school vibes while posing in coordinating ensembles in the black and white photograph.

Royally-obsessed fans can’t get over how much the royal children have grown, from Prince George’s tall stature to Princess Charlotte looking more like her mom every day.

“Our family Christmas card for 2023,” they wrote in the caption, in addition to tagging the photographer behind the camera lens: Josh Shinner.

We suppose it isn’t too much of a surprise that our Christmas card looks more like Kate and Will’s than Camilla and Charles’s.
