  • King Charles hosted a meeting at Buckingham Palace with Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey and Chief Cashier Sarah John to celebrate the arrival of the U.K.’s brand-new bank notes featuring his face. He even had a cheeky response to seeing himself on the new money.
  • King Charles and Queen Camilla have left Balmoral Castle and relocated to Birkhall for a few days. They visit the Scottish residence every year to celebrate their anniversary (which took place on April 9). 
  • The monarch gave a special social media shoutout to Muslims who are celebrating Eid al-Fitr. The royal posted a blue and white graphic on X, along with a personal message. 
  • King Charles’s brother, Prince Edward, and his wife, Sophie, stepped in for the monarch by attending the 120th anniversary parade of The Entente Cordiale on his behalf.

  • King Charles and Queen Camilla attended Easter Sunday service at St. George’s Chapel. The monarch greeted members of the public for the first time since his cancer diagnosis. 
  • Royal photographer Chris Jackson snapped a black-and-white photo of the royal couple walking into the church. Although they are facing away from the camera, their body language speaks volumes because they're angled toward each other in a non-verbal show of support.
  • During his walkabout, King Charles met a devoted royal admirer who wished him well on his journey to recovery.
  • This prompted the monarch to make a surprising comment about his marriage to Queen Camilla. While admiring his wife, he said, “I just obey my instructions.”
