Katy Perry Wows in Lilac Vivienne Westwood Showstopper at King Charles Coronation

Aside from turning heads, Perry also paid homage to the United Kingdom by wearing Vivienne Westwood, a designer who had a years-long relationship with the British royal family. The New York Times even describes her as "a British treasure of a different kind," thanks in part to her viral no-undies twirl after receiving her Order of the British Empire at Buckingham Palace.

It's worth noting that the designer, who passed away in 2022, also created an autumn/winter menswear collection as a tribute to King Charles in 2015, to celebrate his environmental work. According to the Guardian, she said at the time, "I want to pay tribute to Prince Charles. If Prince Charles had ruled the world according to his priorities during the last 30 years, we would be alright and we would be tackling climate change."

Now, eight years later, Perry turned her coronation 'fit into a full-circle moment with her Westwood skirt and jacket, complete with the iconic pearl choker.

The American Idol judge is scheduled to perform at Sunday's Coronation Concert, alongside Idol co-judge Lionel Richie and Andrea Bocelli. And something tells us she'll step out in another show-stopping outfit for the occasion.
